J W Landscapes contacted us to survey a restricted access residential house where they were carrying our landscaping works for a new garden. The house was at the start of a close with access to 30+ houses, with limited space for the crane to rig and keep access open for other residents. Also, the stones and trees they were looking to position were estimated to weigh between 1-1.5 tonnes.
Our experienced crane operators carried out a survey well in advance of the required lift date, to ensure if any notifications, adjustments or challenges could be planned for and carried out. As part of our contract lifting approach, we decided that the road could be kept open for the residents in the private close, with one of our truck-mounted cranes variably rigging alongside the garden, with 1m round mats used to protect the private road. Once we completed our plan, this was submitted to the client along with the cost, they were very happy that we could meet all their requirements, and complete the work in a half day at a significant saving for them
On the day, we supplied the Klaas 950 for a lunchtime arrival, to minimise impact to any residents even with the private road staying open. Using slings and chains, alongside the J W Landscaping team, the stones were lifted and positioned with accuracy to their final resting place, and with additional care for the trees, these followed soon after. The crane lift was completed well within the time allotted, and the customer was left very happy with the efficient service received.
